Ancelotti: We Were Just Plain Bad!

Oct 03, 2024

ancelotti: we were just plain bad!

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti will not offer any excuses for their shock 1-0 Champions League defeat to French club Lille this morning.

He says overall, they had played a bad game, and Lille deserved their victory.

Real currently have 3 points from their opening two matches, following their earlier victory over Stuttgart.

--

Man United boss Erik ten Hag wants his team to use the anger and frustration from their 3-0 defeat to Tottenham, as a motivation for tomorrow morning's Europa League trip to Porto.

United will go into the game without the injured Leny Yoro, Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia and Mason Mount.

However, Kobbie Mainoo and Harry Maguire recently returned to training and could play tomorrow morning.

--

The Spanish football federation has handed Atletico Madrid a fine and a partial stadium closure, due to crowd trouble during their recent derby against Real Madrid.

The La Liga match was halted for about 20 minutes in the second half, because fans were throwing missiles onto the pitch.

--

And Red Bull boss Christian Horner has hinted that Daniel Ricciardo's age was a factor in the decision to drop him from the RB racing team

He says it's is now harder for the 35-year-old to adapt to changes to F1 cars.
