10k Tokyo Games volunteers pulled out since last year
10,000 volunteers for the upcoming Tokyo Olympics have stepped down, ever since it was postponed last year.
According to the organisers, it was largely due to COVID-19 concerns in Japan.
They assured that this will not impact the Games, as they comprise just over 10% of the number of volunteers needed.
Since the event has been scaled back, fewer volunteers will be required.
