Former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is reportedly the number one target to take charge of the Japan national team.
Wenger is highly respected in Japan, where he enjoyed success in the mid-90's with Nagoya Grampus Eight.
Since leaving The Gunners, the Frenchman has been linked with the sporting director's job at PSG, and has also attracted the interest of several clubs in China.
