Defending champions Liverpool have fallen to one of their heaviest Premiership defeats, suffering a 7-2 loss away to Aston Villa.

Ollie Watkins netted a hattrick while Jack Grealish scored a brace to complete a remarkable victory for the Villains.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp says his side will have to take full responsibility.

"All the things you should not do in a football game, we did tonight. But all credit to Villa for forcing us to do that. So nobody to blame apart from us"

It was the first time since 1963 that they've conceded seven goals, and drops The Reds down to fifth in the table while Villa move up to second.

There was another shock result at Old Trafford where Tottenham humiliated Man United 6-1.
