Vietnam F1 GP expected to carry on as scheduled
Feb 14, 2020
Formula One is not expecting the ongoing coronavirus epidemic to affect the inaugural Vietnam Grand Prix.
Following the postponement of the Chinese Grand Prix, there were concerns that the race in Hanoi could also be called off, as it will take place just 160km from China's border.
The FIA says it will reevaluate the 2020 calendar if necessary, and will take any action required, to help protect the global motorsport community.
Meanwhile, organisers are set to meet this week to discuss a potential new date for the Chinese GP, but there are no plans to discuss the same with Vietnam, as the coronavirus crisis there is not at an alarming rate.
The Vietnam GP is set to be held on Sunday, April 5th.

Pep Guardiola uncertain of future at Man City
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has admitted his job may be on the line, if they fail to win the Champions League this season.
City are almost not going to defend their Premier League title this season, sitting 22 points behind leaders Liverpool, and their main aim for the rest of the campaign has to be the Champions League.
Guardiola says he accepts that the pressure is on, and that he could lose his job if City fail to beat Real Madrid in the last-16 later this month.
City have won five major domestic trophies since Guardiola took over in 2016, but are yet to win a European competition.

Chelsea make first signing since transfer ban
Chelsea have reached a deal with Ajax to sign winger Hakim Ziyech this summer, for a fee of around 34 million pounds.
The Blues were eyeing the Moroccan in January, but Ajax were unwilling to sell him, as they chase the Dutch league title.
This is Chelsea's first signing since their transfer ban was lifted.
