Ozil's rep plays down possible move

Aug 27, 2019

Mesut Ozil's agent has dismissed claims that the midfielder will be leaving Arsenal anytime soon.

The German's future at the Gunners is in further doubt, following the arrivals of Dani Ceballos and Nicolas Pepe.

Some reports have suggested that Ozil could replace Wayne Rooney at American MLS side DC United, when Rooney moves to Derby in January.

However, Ozil's agent he doubts this will happen.

The player still has two years left on his Gunners contract.

Arsenal boss Unai Emery has given the green light for Nacho Monreal to join Real Sociedad.

The Spanish club are reportedly offering the defender a two-year contract, with the option of a further 12 months.

Arsenal are looking to get 3 million pounds for Monreal, who is currently their longest-serving first team regular.

Man United are sweating on the fitness of Luke Shaw.

The left-back is set to undergo further scans on a hamstring injury that he picked up in the weekend defeat to Crystal Palace, to determine the extent of the problem.

According to ESPN, United are worried that Shaw may be ruled out for up to six weeks.

If it's confirmed, it would would rule him out of their clash against Arsenal next month.
