Man Utd confident of overthrowing PSG in Champions League

Mar 04, 2019

Manchester United interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says his players are confident, they can overturn a two-goal deficit against PSG in the Champions League.

However, the Norwegian admits it's going to be difficult, as a number of first-team regulars have been ruled out for the second leg of their last-16 tie.

Paul Pogba is banned after being sent off in the first leg, while Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard and Ander Herrera are among nine players who could miss the match through injury, but Solskjaer is hopeful his depleted squad will be able to upset the French club in Paris this Thursday.

Nick Kyrgios refreshing for tennis?

Serena Williams' coach Patrick Mouratoglou believes that rising Australian star Nick Kyrgios is "fantastic" for tennis.

Kyrgios has received lots of criticism over his career, with the most recent person to slam him being Rafael Nadal, who wasn't particularly pleased with his on-court behaviour, during their last-16 clash at the Mexican Open.

Nadal said the 23-year-old lacks respect for the public, the opponent and towards himself.

However, Mouratoglou thinks that Kyrgios being himself and not trying to be someone he isn't, is just what the sport needs.

Meanwhile, Kyrgios went on to win the Mexican Open yesterday, after a straight-sets victory over Germany's Alexander Zverev.

Chelsea players accept Kepa's apology, says Loftus-Cheek

Ruben Loftus-Cheek says Chelsea's players have accepted Kepa Arrizabalaga's apology, after the goalkeeper refused to be substituted in the League Cup final defeat to Man City...

"Kepa was honest with us and he apologised to all of us the day after the final and we all accepted that apology. I think there was a misunderstanding involved in it. I think it's very important to move on quickly from that."

Kepa had apologised to the club last week, as he was fined for defying boss Maurizio Sarri's attempted substitution just before the penalty shootout.

The Spaniard was dropped by Sarri for the subsequent Premier League win over Tottenham last week, but was reinstated for last night's 2-1 victory at Fulham.
