Premier League champions Liverpool have been brought back down to earth, after they suffered a 4-0 defeat to last season’s winners Man City.
The result equals the record for the heaviest defeat by a team already crowned champions in a season.

Kevin DeBruyne, Raheem Sterling and Phil Foden all got on the scoresheet for City, before an own-goal by Alex Oxlade Chamberlain finished off the game.
Another match saw Sheffield United pick up their first win since the season restarted, with an impressive 3-1 victory over Tottenham.

The match was not without controversy, with Spurs denied a goal by VAR, because of a handball in the buildup.
The result moves Sheffield up to seventh, while Spurs are in ninth place.
One hand on the title
Real Madrid are edging closer to the La Liga title, after earning a 1-0 win over Getafe this morning.

It leaves Zinedine Zidane’s side four points clear of Barcelona at the top of the standings, with five matches still to play.
Real are on the hunt for only their second league title since 2012.
