Man City have taken a massive step towards the EPL title with a 4-1 win over Liverpool at Anfield.

This was City's 14th straight win in all competitions, and leaves them five points clear at the top of the league table, with a game in hand over their nearest rivals.

For Liverpool…this was their third straight defeat at Anfield…and the first time since 2009 that they’ve conceded four goals at home.

In other results, Thomas Tuchel continued his unbeaten start as Chelsea boss…with a 2-1 win over Sheffield United.

Harry Kane returned from injury to score in Tottenham’s 2-0 win over West Brom.

While Wolves and Leicester played out a goalless draw.

Elsewhere…

Lionel Messi came off the bench to inspire Barcelona to a 3-2 La Liga victory over Real Betis.

While Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored twice in AC Milan’s 4-0 Serie A win over Crotone, to take his goal tally at club level to 500.

February 15 deadine for decision on qualifiers

The AFC has given teams until next week to decide on whether to postpone the remaining Asian Zone World Cup qualifiers scheduled for next month.

Malaysia is among the countries in favour of pushing the games until June, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Senior shuttlers get the chop

Five senior national shuttlers have been dropped by the Badminton Association of Malaysia, following their poor performances in recent events.

They are top women’s singles shuttler Soniia Cheah, mixed-doubles shuttlers Goh Soon Huat, Shevon Lai and Lai Pei Jing, as well as former Commonwealth Games women’s doubles gold medallist Vivian Hoo.
