Man City beat Chelsea to revive their title hopes

Chelsea have slumped to their fourth Premiership defeat in six matches, as they went down 3-1 to Man City at Stamford Bridge.

The visitors, who were without a number of first-team players due to Covid-19, scored all their goals in the first 34 minutes.
The result moves City up to fifth in the standings, while Chelsea drop to eighth.
Meanwhile, Leicester City are up to third in the EPL table, after a 2-1 win over Newcastle.

The Foxes are now one point off the top two, although they’ve played one game more than the leaders.
Kane contract negotiations commence
Tottenham have reportedly opened talks to extend the contract of striker Harry Kane.

The England international has been in impressive form for Spurs this season, scoring 17 times and contributing 14 assists in all competitions.
Kane’s current deal does not expire until 2024, but Tottenham are eager to tie him down for the long-term, amid reported interest from Man City and PSG.
Shuttlers cleared to travel
The national badminton squad has been cleared to travel and compete at next weeks Thailand Open, even after BAM coaching director Wong Choong Hann tested positive for Covid-19.

The BAM says players and coaches who had been in close contact with Choong Hann have been tested, and are negative for the coronavirus.
The Thailand Open is the first overseas tournament for our national shuttlers since the start of the pandemic.
