Liverpool reach 3rd round of EFL Cup

Liverpool have reached the 3rd round of the EFL Cup after beating Burton Albion 5-0.

Divock Origi, Roberto Firmino and a Tom Naylor own-goal gave the Reds a 3-goal lead, before Daniel Sturridge completed the rout with 2 late goals.

Meanwhile, Chelsea were made to sweat by Bristol Rovers, but held on to progress with a 3-2 win thanks to two goals from Michi Batshuayi.

Premier League sides Crystal Palace, Everton, Hull City, Swansea City and Stoke City all also went through.
