Klopp: Liverpool not focused on records

Jul 06, 2020

Jurgen Klopp says his Liverpool side are not focused on breaking any records, and are just out to take things one match at a time.

The Reds 2-0 win over Aston Villa at Anfield puts them just two victories away becoming the first Premiership side to win every league home game in a season.

Klopp, however, is expecting a difficult run-in for the remaining five matches.

“That’s not easy in this league, especially when you see what the opponents are playing for. Brighton is fighting to stay in the league, Burnley is always uncomfortable to play, Arsenal and Chelsea are both fighting for a place in Europe. So that’s not an easy run in”

Besides the home win record, Liverpool are also in the running to break Man City’s record of scoring 100 points in a season.

Koulibaly headed for England?

It's looking increasingly likely that highly-rated Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly could be heading to England.

This, after yet another report said the Serie A side is finalising plans to sell him to a Premier League outfit this summer.

Both Manchester clubs, Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool are all believed to be keen on the Senegal international...who could go for as high as 90 million pounds.

From the court to the big screen...

Chinese badminton superstar Lin Dan’s life story is heading to the big screen.

Just days after the double Olympic gold medallist announced his retirement, a production company in China now says its working on a biographical film, to highlight the highs and lows that the shuttler has experienced over his illustrious 20 year career.

It also means that Lin Dan will be following in the footsteps of his long-time rival Datuk Lee Chong Wei, who also had a biographical movie released in 2018.
