Novak Djokovic is through to the semifinal of the French Tennis Open.
The world number one overcame pre-match neck and shoulder issues…fighting from a set down to defeat Pablo Carreno Busta.
This will be Djokovic’s 10th semifinal appearance at Roland Garros, where he will next face Stefanos Tsitsipas.

This, as Tsitsipas booked his place in the last four with a commanding straight sets win over Andrey Rublev.
Meanwhile, Petra Kvitova has made the semis of the women’s draw where she will next take on fourth seed Sofia Kenin.
Giroud stars for Les Bleus
France have romped to a commanding 7-1 win over Ukraine in an international football friendly this morning.
Among those on the scoresheet were World Cup stars Olivier Giroud, Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann.

Giroud’s two goals this morning also makes the Chelsea striker the second-highest goalscorer of all time for France, overtaking the legendary Michel Platini.
His international tally of 42 goals puts him just nine adrift of Thierry Henry’s record.
Cavani will have to wait for debut
Edinson Cavani will have to wait a while longer to make his Manchester United debut.
The former PSG striker is unable to avoid a 14-day quarantine as part of Covid-19 precautionary measures after arriving from France.

This means Cavani will not be allowed to train with his new teammates, and is likely to miss the Premiership tie against Newcastle, and possibly also the Champions League group game against his former club.
