AFF Cup: Harimau Malaya headcoach says Malaysia must use their home ground advantage

Harimau Malaya headcoach Tan Cheng Hoe says Malaysia must use their home ground advantage when they face Thailand in the AFF Cup semi-final, first-leg tie at the Bukit Jalil stadium, tonight.

He has called on his men to forget their clean record at the stadium, having not lost at home in the early rounds, and to focus on giving it their all against reigning champions Thailand.

Meanwhile, Thailand's head coach has challenged his men to end Malaysia’s perfect home record and secure a place in the final.

Thailand is gunning for their third consecutive AFF Cup this year.

National men's hockey squad head coach, Roelant Oltmans is confident that his team can put up a good challenge against the Netherlands in their opening group game in the 2018 Men's Hockey World Cup in India.

Malaysia have been drawn into Group D, comprising six-time champions Pakistan, three-time winner the Netherlands and two-time champions, Germany.

Oltmans believs the current squad will improve its previous outing 4 years ago in the Netherlands which saw Malaysia lose all 6 group matches.

Boss Pep Guardiola says FIFA proposals designed to limit the number of players allowed to be loaned out to rival clubs will seriously change Man City’s business model.

City and Chelsea are among the Premier League teams who will be most seriously impacted by the proposals that, from 2020, clubs will only be allowed to have between six and eight players loaned out to other clubs.

At the moment, Chelsea have 39 players on loan with rival clubs across Europe, while City have 28- nearly twice as many as any other Premier League club.
