Tang Jie-Ee Wei Reach BWF World Championship semis

Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei have booked their spot in the semifinals of the Badmintonw World Championships in France.  

The mixed doubles duo advanced after beating their Indian opponents in straight sets. 

However, Hoo Pang Ron-Chen Su Ying's campaign ended in the quarterfinals, after they were beaten by their Chinese opponents.  

3 other reps are playing in the quarterfinals, namely Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah, Man Wei Chong-Tee Kai Wun, and Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik.

Alejandro Garnacho is close to completing his move to Chelsea. 

This is after the Blues agreed to pay a £40 million fee to sign the Argentine forward from Man United. 

Garnacho is being brought in to replace Christopher Nkunku, who is expected to join AC Milan.

Meanwhile, Garnacho's teammate Rasmus Hojlund is also expected to leave United this summer. 

According to reports, Italian champions Napoli are looking to sign the attacker on loan, atter losing Romelu Lukaku to injury.

Turkish club Fenerbahce have sacked boss Jose Mourinho, a day after they were beaten in the playoffs for the league phase of the Champions League.  

His sacking came a day after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was dismissed as the head coach of Besiktas.

Elsewhere, Tottenham are close to reaching a deal to sign RB Leipzig midfielder Xavi Simons for around £60 million. 

Reports say Spurs are working hard to push the deal through quickly, to prevent rivals Chelsea from hijacking the move.
