City Come From Behind To Beat Everton

Dec 28, 2023

city come from behind to beat everton

Man City are back into the EPL top four, after a come-from-behind 3-1 win over Everton this morning.

The champions are now five points behind leaders Liverpool, with a game in hand.

However, City’s win may have come at a price, after defender John Stones had to be taken off this morning with an ankle problem.

The player will require further tests…although manager Pep Guardiola says Stones’ injury does not look good.

Elsewhere, Chelsea needed an 89th minute penalty…to come away as 2-1 winners over Cystal Palace.

While Wolves overcame Brentford 4-1.

Benfica are making moves to keep their highly-rated midfielder Joao Neves at the Portuguese club.

Sources say they’re negotiating a new contract for the 19-year-old…that will see his release clause increased to over 100 million pounds…amid interest from Man United.

-

Newcastle are reportedly confident of reaching a deal for Man City midfielder Kalvin Philips before the end of the season…despite competition from the likes of Juventus, Everton and Crystal Palace.

-

And, the FAM is hopeful that Harimau Malaya can make the last-16 of next month’s Asian Cup.

The national team has not made the knockout round in their previous three appearances at the tournament.
