Bidding Reopened For 2027 UCL Final Host

Sep 25, 2024

bidding reopened for 2027 ucl final host

UEFA has reopened the bidding to host the 2027 Champions League final.

This is after Milan was stripped of hosting duties, amid the uncertainty surrounding planned renovations for the San Siro stadium.

According to UEFA, the Italian city was unable to give assurances that the redevelopment work would not hamper the event.

The new host stadium is expected to be announced by mid-next year.

Man City boss Pep Guardiola says his team must learn to adapt to life without Rodri, whose injury could keep him out for the rest of the season.

This, due to the how valuable the Spaniard has been for City over the past few years.

According to the statistics, City have won 75% of matches in which Rodri plays.

When he's not in the squad, the win rate drops to just 63%

Federico Chiesa is expected to make his first start for Liverpool, in tomorrow morning's home EFL Cup clash against West Ham.

The Italian has so far made two substitute appearances, against AC Milan and Bournemouth, since joining them from Juventus.

--

Former Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is considering coming out of retirement to join Barcelona on a short-term deal.

This, as Marc-Andre ter Stegen recovers from his long-term injury.
