The Olympics are officially opened!

The Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics has officially opened, after a year of delay due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.
Its opening ceremony yesterday saw athletes from all over the world march into a near empty stadium, as spectators are banned from attending the Games.
The ceremony also featured fireworks and a moment of silence to honour the victims who succumbed to the virus.
Japanese tennis star Naomi Osaka was handed the torch to light the Olympic cauldron.

Msian women’s doubles pair defeated in Tokyo Games group action
National women's doubles, Chow Mei Kuan/Lee Meng Yean lost in Group A action at the Tokyo Olympics.
The shuttlers were beaten by their Indonesian opponents in two straight sets.
The score was score 14-21, 17-21.

Jadon Sancho is now a Man United player

Jadon Sancho has completed his transfer from Borussia Dortmund to Manchester United for £73 million.
Sancho signed a five-year-deal at United and will wear the number 25 shirt for his new side.
The 21-year-old joins the Premier League club after four years in the Bundesliga with Dortmund.
