Champions League: Elanga rescues Man United against Atletico

Anthony Elanga came to Man United’s rescue as they salvaged a 1-1 draw away to Atletico Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League last-16 this morning.
The home side had taken the lead after just seven minutes, only for Elanga to respond for United ten minutes from time.
Another last-16 tie saw this morning saw Ajax held to a 2-2 draw away to Benfica.

Liverpool kept their EPL title hopes alive with a commanding 6-0 win over Leeds.
The Reds are now just three points behind leaders Man City…having played the same number of matches.

Elsewhere, relegation-threatened Burnley boosted their survival hopes with a surprise 1-0 win over Tottenham.
For Spurs, this was their fourth loss in five league games.

Meanwhile, Antonio Conte has suggested that he may not be the right man to manage Tottenham.
Conte – who has only been in charge of the London club for 22 games – says he is trying his best, but cant seem to turn their fortunes around.
He adds that he will speak to the club about the situation, and is willing to step down if the board feels that he is the source of their problems.
Conte also refused to answer, when asked if he would still be in charge for this weekend’s game against Leeds.

McLaren’s Lando Norris has posted the first fastest time of the new F1 season.
He topped the timesheets ahead of Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz on the opening day of F1 pre-season testing in Barcelona.
