The new European Super League has fallen apart before its even started.

Barely 48 hours after announcing their participation… Man City, Man United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham have now confirmed that they are leaving.

It follows the intense backlash from fans, players and coaches.

It is currently unclear if the remaining Super League founding teams – Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, AC Milan, Inter Milan and Juventus – will proceed with their plans.

Chelsea are back up into the EPL top four, after their goalless draw with Brighton at Stamford Bridge this morning.

The Blues are currently ahead of West Ham on goal difference, with six matches to play this season.

Their battle for the top four also continues this weekend, with Chelsea to take on the Hammers early Sunday morning.

Tottenham have reportedly approached former Chelsea and Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri as a possible replacement for Jose Mourinho.

This, after Mourinho was given the sack by Spurs after just 17 months in charge.

The London club are also rumoured to be eyeing RB Leipzig’s Julian Nagelsmann and Leicester City’s Brendan Rodgers.
