Liverpool thrash Man United to go top of the table

Liverpool have moved to the top of the Premier League standings, after a well-deserved 4-0 win over Man United at Anfield.

Mo Salah scored twice, including a late chip over the keeper to seal the win.

The victory moves the Reds two points clear of second-placed Man City…although City have a game in hand.

United, meanwhile, are in sixth place.

Inter Milan have defeated AC Milan 3-0 on aggregate to make the final of the Coppa Italia.

The first leg of the semifinal had ended goalless.

Inter will next face the winners of the other semi between Juventus and Fiorentina.

AC Milan are reportedly keen on a summer move for Man City’s Raheem Sterling.

The England international has been a regular in the City squad this campaign, but he could see his chances limited if they manage to sign Erling Haaland next season.

Milan could be looking at a potentially huge summer transfer budget, if a planned takeover of the club by a Bahraini company is successful.

Former world number one Ashleigh Barty has signed up to play in an exhibition golf series, after recently announcing her retirement from tennis.

This has fueled speculation Barty may attempt a top-level career in a third sport, having also played professional cricket during her earlier break from tennis in 2015.
