Liverpool have been knocked out of the Europa League, despite their 1-0 win over Atalanta in the second leg of their quarterfinal this morning.

The Reds exit 3-1 on aggregate…after failing to overcome their three-goal defeat to the Italian side in last week’s reverse fixture at Anfield.

Their elimination means Jurgen Klopp will end his final season at Liverpool without a European trophy.

Meanwhile, fellow English club West Ham are also out of the Europa League, losing 3-1 on aggregate to Bayer Leverkusen.

Roma overcame AC Milan 3-1 over both legs.

While Marseille needed penalties to knock out Benfica after the teams were tied 2-2 on aggregate.

-

Meanwhile, Aston Villa also needed a penalty shootout to beat Lille in the Europa Conference League to qualify for their first European semifinal since 1982.

-

It is confirmed that there will be no more English FA Cup replays starting from the first round next season.

Under the current format, replays are only scrapped from the fifth round onwards.

-

Real Madrid’s Vinicius Jr is doubtful for Monday’s El Classico clash against Barcelona after picking up a knock in yesterday’s Champions League win over Man City.

-

And, Bayern Munich are reportedly preparing a new contract for Jamal Musiala to keep the forward at the club amid strong interest from Man City.
