Season Ends Early For Lee Zii Jia

Lee Zii Jia's season is over.
This is after the BWF's website said that Malaysian men's badminton ace withdrew from next week's Syed Modi International in India.
This caps an injury-plagued year for Zia Jia, who had been battling a persistent back injury.
He last featured at the China Masters in September, where he was forced to retire in the first round.

Newly-crowned Japan Masters champions Pearly Tan – M. Thinaah have pulled out of this week's Australian Open.
Their coach says they need a short break to recover, ahead of the SEA Games and World Tour Finals.

Liverpool will be in the market for at least one new attacker in the upcoming transfer window.
According to reports, they need a replacement for Mo Salah, who'll be on duty with Egypt for the Africa Cup of Nations, which happens in December and January.
It's believed that their main target is Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo, who's country Ghana failed to qualify for the African tournament.
