The government is considering a reward and special celebration, to mark the national football team’s qualification for the Asian Cup.

The Prime Minister says the matter will be discussed between the Youth and Sports Ministry and the FAM.

This, after Harimau Malaya defeated Bangladesh in their qualifier earlier this week, to book their place at the Asian Cup on merit for the first time in 42 years.

Paul Pogba has reportedly reached a verbal agreement to join Juventus this summer.

The midfielder will be a free agent, when his Man United contract expires at the end of the month.

Pogba – who had also been in talks with PSG – is expected to officially join Juve at the start of July.

Other transfer news…

Man City striker Gabriel Jesus is set to hold talks with Juventus about a summer transfer.

The Brazilian has been heavily linked with an exit from the Etihad…with Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham also believed to be keen on his services.

Elsewhere, newly-promoted Nottingham Forest have opened talks with Man United, about signing reserve keeper Dean Henderson.

The 25-year-old played just three games for the Red Devils last season.

Starting next season, Premier League teams will have to show the date of their player’s positive Covid-19 cases and when symptoms first developed…before they’re allowed to have matches postponed.

Its part of tougher regulations for coronavirus-related postponements, after some teams were accused of using loopholes to have matches called off last season.
