Pep: Every Game Is Now A Final!

Mar 16, 2025

pep: every game is now a final!

Man City boss Pep Guardiola says his team must treat their 9 remaining Premier League matches as importantly as cup finals.

This, as City suffered another stumble in their bid to qualify for next season's Champions League.

They drew 2-2 all with Brighton to remain in 5th place in the standings, behind 4th-placed Chelsea.

--

Meanwhile, Man City's Erling Haaland set a new record in the Brighton match.

He scored a penalty to become the fastest player to reach 100 Premier League goals and assists, doing it in just 94 games.

The previous record was held by Alan Shearer, who achieved it in 100 matches.

--

Southampton boss Ivan Juric admits that it is inevitable that his team will be relegated from the Premier League this season.

This, after their 2-1 defeat to Wolves, which left the Saints 17 points from safety with 9 matches to go.

If their current form continues, their relegation will be confirmed by early April.

--

The Youth and Sports Minister has expressed her disappointment, over our national shuttlers performance at the All England Championship.

She says badminton has become increasingly competitive, meaning that our players must start train harder, and make earlier preparations for tournaments.
