haaland fires man city in champions league quarterfinal

Erling Haaland has written another entry in the record books...after scoring five times in Man City’s 7-0 thrashing of RB Leipzig in their Champions League last-16 second leg tie this morning.

City progress into the quarterfinals on an 8-1 aggregate score.

The 22-year-old Norwegian is now the youngest and fastest player to reach 30 goals in Europe's elite club competition.

His tally this morning also makes him the only other player besides Lionel Messi and Luiz Adriano, to score five in a single Champions League game.

Haaland has also set a new milestone for City...becoming the club’s first player to reach 39 goals in all competitions in a single season.

Meanwhile, Inter Milan have made the Champions League quarterfinals for the first time since 2011.

They played out a goalless draw with Porto in the second leg of their last-16 tie this morning, to advance 1-0 on aggregate.

Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah were among four Malaysian reps who suffered opening defeats, along with Goh Jin Wei, who was forced to retire from her match due to injury.
