Lazio Stun Bayern In Champions League

Feb 15, 2024

lazio stun bayern in champions league

Lazio have one foot in the Champions League quarter finals.

This is after Cirro Immobile scored a 2nd half penalty to give the Serie A club a 1-nil win over 10-man Bayern Munich in their last-16, first-leg match.

Meanwhile the result has reportedly added to the pressure on Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel

The loss to Lazio was their second defeat in 5 days, following their 3-0 loss to Bundesliga title rivals Bayer Leverkusen.

Also in the Champions League, Kylian Mbappe and Bradley Barcola both scored, to give PSG a 2-0 win against Real Sociedad.

--

Reports say Trent Alexander-Arnold could miss Liverpool's EFL Cup final against Chelsea later this month.

This is after the right-back suffered a recurrence of a knee problem, in their recent 3-1 win over Burnley.

--

Kylian Mbappe may seriously consider a possible move to Arsenal this summer.

The Frenchman is out of contract at the end of the season and has been linked with clubs including the Gunners and Real Madrid.

--

Our men's team will take on Chinese Taipei this evening, in their final Group B game at the Badminton Asia Team Championship.

Both teams will be gunning for top spot in the group, after they both defeated Kazakhstan and Brunei in their previous matches.

Earning top spot means they will get an easier draw for the quarter finals.
