Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin are the Arctic Badminton Open champions.

The Malaysians took the men’s doubles title after battling from a set down to beat holders Kim Astrup and Anders Rasmussen in a three sets encounter.

This is the Malaysia pair’s third title of the year…having also won the Japan and China Opens.

Meanwhile, Pearly Tan and M.Thinaah had to settle for the runners-up spot in the women’s doubles after losing to their higher-ranked opponents from China.

There was also joy for Malaysian shuttlers at the World Junior Championships where Aaron Tai and Kang Khai Xing defeated their Chinese opponents, to end our 13-year wait for a gold medal in the boy’s doubles.

Elsewhere, Malaysia’s Javen Choong and Wong Qi Shen have taken the bronze medal at Asian Table Tennis Championships, with an upset victory over the top-ranked pair from China.

In selected Nations League results, England defeated Finland 3-1

Greece had a 2-0 win over the Republic of Ireland

While Austria thrashed Norway 5-1

And, Jannik Sinner has won the Shanghai Tennis Masters after a dominant straight sets victory over Novak Djokovic in the final.
