Bowler Natasha Roslan has been named Sportswoman of the Year at the National Sports Awards. 

She was given the recognition after ending Malaysia’s 12-year wait for an individual gold medal at the World Championships. 

51-year-old bodybuilder Syarul Azman Mahen Abdullah picked up the Sportsman of the Year prize, after winning the world and Asian titles last year. 

Powerlifting champion Bonnie Bunyau Gustin was named National Paralympic Sportsman. 

While track cyclist Nur Suraiya Zamri and her pilot Farina Shawati Adnan were named National Paralympic Sportswomen…after winning gold at the Asian Para Games.

AC Milan have appointed former Lille and Roma boss Paulo Fonseca as their manager.

He replaces Stefano Pioli, who left the San Siro by mutual consent at the end of the past season.

Edin Terzic has stepped down as Borussia Dortmund manager, two weeks after the Bundesliga side were beaten by Real Madrid in the Champions League final.

Sources say he asked for his contract to be terminated, to make way for a new face at the club.

And, Rafa Nadal says he will be skipping Wimbledon to focus on staying fit for next month’s Paris Olympics.
