Bayern Knock Man United Out Of Europe

Man United are out of European competition after their 1-0 defeat to Bayern Munich this morning saw them finish bottom of their Champions League group.

Their position also means the Red Devils have missed out on the chance to drop down to this season’s Europa League.

Erik Ten Hag’s side won just one of their six group games in the competition this campaign and are the first Premiership side to concede 15 goals in a single group stage.

Arsenal and PSV Eindhoven played out a 1-1 draw

Copenhagen defeated Galatasaray 1-0

Napoli edged past Braga 2-0

Real Madrid overcame Union Berlin 3-2.

While Inter and Real Sociedad settled for a goalless draw.

Over in the Asian Champions League Malaysian side JDT defeated BG Pathum United of Thailand 4-1, to finish the group stage in third place.

And, Italy legend Giorgio Chiellini has announced his retirement from professional football at the age of 39.

The former Juventus defender was most recently with Los Angeles FC in Major League Soccer.
