Man Utd edge Spurs thanks to Ronaldo hattrick

Cristiano Ronaldo netted a hattrick to help Man United to a 3-2 EPL win over Tottenham.

It was the Portuguese star’s first United treble since 2008, during his first stint with the club.

It also brings Ronaldo’s career goal tally to 807 - which according to most records makes him football’s all-time leading goal scorer.

The result moves the Red Devils back into the top four…two points ahead of Arsenal…although the Gunners have four games in hand.

Meanwhile, Liverpool extended their Premier League winning run to eight matches after a 2-0 victory over Brighton.

It moves the Reds to within three points of leaders Man City.

Malaysian shuttler Lee Zii Jia has suffered a shock defeat at the German Badminton Open.

The world number seven fell to a straight sets defeat to Thailand’s Kunlavut Vitidsarn in the semifinals.

This leaves Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izuddin Rumsani as our only reps left in the tournament, with the pair to take on opponents from China in the men’s doubles final.
