Red Bull’s Max Verstappen has won the Italian F1 GP…after fighting his way up from seventh on the starting grid.

Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc finished in second place, in what was the team’s home race.

Verstappen now has a 116-point lead over Leclerc in the drivers’ standings…and could potentially seal the world title at the next race in Singapore.

Carlos Alcaraz has earned himself a place in the history books, by winning the US tennis Open this morning.

The Spanish teenager defeated Casper Ruud in four sets, to take the first Grand Slam title of his career.

At just 19, Alcaraz is the youngest major winner since 2005…and will also be the first teenager in history to become world number one, when the latest rankings are released this week.

Former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has opened up about his recent sacking by the club.

The German says he’s devastated that his spell in charge of the Blues had to come to an end…but is still honoured to have been a part of Chelsea’s history.

Tuchel had won three trophies, including the Champions League, during his 20 months at Stamford Bridge.

Real Madrid have continued their perfect start to the La Liga season…coming from behind to beat Mallorca 4-1.

Over in the Serie A…Juventus fought back from two goals down to salvage a 2-all draw with Salernitana.
