Liverpool To Field Strong Squad For FA Cup Clash

Jan 12, 2026

liverpool to field strong squad for fa cup clash

Liverpool boss Arne Slot has promised to field a strong side, when they host Barnsley in the 3rd round of the FA Cup tomorrow morning.

This, as the team are looking to avoid a second consecutive early exit, following their 4th-round defeat to Plymouth Argyle last season.

However, the Reds are currently in the middle of an injury crisis, with Conor Bradley out for the rest of the season, while Alexander Isak, Hugo Ekitike, Stefan Bajcetic and Wataru Endo are also on the sidelines.

--

Man United interim boss Darren Fletcher believes the team is too mentally fragile, after their shock FA Cup defeat to Brighton.

He says the players started the game well, but deflated after Brighton scored the first goal.

--

Aston Villa are considering a reunion with Roma striker Tammy Abraham, who is currently on loan in Turkey.

Abraham previously joined Villa on loan in the 2018-2019 season, scoring 26 goals for the Villains.

--

BAM’s men's doubles head coach has urged our other players to step up this year, as the country cannot rely solely on Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik to fight for titles.

This, after the top duo reached the final of the Malaysian Open, while Man Wei Chong-Tee Kai Wun and Arif Junaidi-Yap Roy King suffered early exits.
