Euro 2024: England Are Through To The Final

euro 2024: england are through to the final

England are through to their second successive European Championship final, after beating the Netherlands 2-1 this morning.

Ollie Watkins netted the winner in the final minute of the game…which was on the verge of heading into extra-time and possible penalties.

England will next take on Spain for the title on Monday morning…with the Three Lions looking to make up for the penalty shootout loss to Italy in the final of the last edition.

This is also the first time England will be playing in the final of a major tournament on foreign soil.

In tennis… Novak Djokovic remains on course for a record-extending 25th Grand Slam title…after making the semifinals at Wimbledon, where he will face 25th seed Lorenzo Musetti.

National doubles shuttlers Pearly Tan and M Thinaah say their initial target at the Paris Olympics is to clear the group stage, since they are likely to be placed together with top rivals from China and South Korea.

The Youth and Sports Ministry says it will no longer give out grants or funding to any events linked to vaping, smoking or alcohol, following amendments made under the Safe Sport Code.

And, the Pahang state government has expressed an interest in holding the hockey events, as Malaysia prepares to host the 2027 SEA Games.
