Liverpool Have One Foot In The League Cup Final

Liverpool have earned a first-leg lead after defeating Fulham 2 – 1 in their League Cup semifinal tie this morning.

The Reds came from behind to net two second-half goals within four minutes courtesy of Curtis Jones and Cody Gakpo.

The second leg at Craven Cottage is set for the 25th.

Elsewhere, Real Madrid secured their spot in the final of the Spanish Super Cup after defeating Atletico Madrid 5 – 3.

Barcelona’s Joao Felix will need to step up his game if he wants to stay with the club.

According to sources, Barca are not happy with his poor run of form lately, having only scored just six goals since joining on loan from Atletico Madrid.

As such, the Catalan giants are unsure if they’ll offer the 24-year-old a permanent spot in the next transfer window.
