Plymouth End Liverpool's Quadruple Hopes

Plymouth Argyle have ended Liverpool’s hopes of winning the quadruple this season.

The Championship side beat the Reds 1-0 in the fourth round of the FA Cup in one of the biggest upsets in this year’s tournament so far.

Liverpool were without Mo Salah, Virgil Van Dijk, Alisson and Alexis MacAllister as manager Arne Slot made 10 changes to his team in anticipation of the Merseyside derby later this week.

Elsewhere, Aston Villa advanced to the fifth round of the FA Cup for the first time in a decade after beating Tottenham 2-1.

Over in La Liga…Barcelona defeated Sevilla 4-1 to move to within two points of leaders Real Madrid.

Back home…Terengganu FC bounced back from three straight defeats across all competitions, to record a 2-0 win over Negeri Sembilan in the Malaysian Super League.

S. Sivasangari has won the Cincinnati Squash Cup after a hard-fought victory over former world number three Amanda Sobhy.

This is the Malaysian’s first title of the season.
