Tan Kian Meng/Lai Pei Jing suffered a first-round loss.

However, Goh Soon Huat/Shevon Lai progressed to the second round.

Meanwhile, men's singles world no.1 Viktor Axelsen defeated Singapore's Loh Kean Yew.

RB Leipzig's Timo Werner will travel to London within the next few days to complete his loan move to Tottenham.

The former Chelsea player is out of favour at Leipzig and it's believed that he wants to join Spurs to boost his chances of selection for this year's Euros.

Latest reports say that al-Ettifaq have yet to receive any offers for Jordan Henderson.

The England midfielder is believed to be unsettled at the Saudi club and was recently tipped to join Chelsea.
