Kevin de Bruyne scored the only goal of the game as Man City defeated Atletico Madrid 1-0 in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals.
A brilliant Phil Foden pass unlocked Atletico’s stubborn defense, to allow de Bruyne to slot in the 70th minute winner.
The Premiership leaders will now take a slender one-goal advantage for the return leg in Madrid next Thursday.
