Slot: Liverpool Were Lucky

Liverpool boss Arne Slot admits his team were very lucky in their Champions League last-16 first leg win over PSG this morning.  

The EPL leaders claimed a 1-0 victory against a dominant PSG side, with Harvey Elliott scoring the winner in the 87th minute. 

Meanwhile, PSG registered a whopping 27 shots throughout the game, with Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson forced to make nine saves.

Man United have only named 18 players in their squad for tomorrow morning's EUROPA League last-16 first leg tie at Real Sociedad. 

This, amid an injury crisis that has sidelined 10 players including Harry Maguire, who suffered a knock in their recent FA Cup exit.

The football Associations of England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales are planning a joint bid to host the Women's World Cup in 2035.  

Brazil will host the next one, in 2027, while the US are expected to be named hosts for the following edition in 2031.

And former champion Naomi Osaka has crashed out in the opening round of the Indian Wells tennis Masters. 

It was the 4-time Grand Slam winner's first match since she pulled out of the Australian Open due to injury.
