Man City are back up into second in the EPL standings, after a comfortable 3-1 win over Brentford this morning.

Phil Foden netted all three goals for the Champions, who are now two points behind leaders Liverpool.

City, however, have a game in hand…and can overtake the Reds at the summit, if they can beat Everton in their next match on Saturday.

-

Man United have been dealt a defensive blow, following news that Lisandro Martinez is facing at least eight weeks on the sidelines due to a knee problem.

The good news is the 26-year-old will not require surgery.

-

Separately, United’s Christian Eriksen has reportedly attracted the interest of Galatasaray, with the club hoping to get a deal done for the midfielder before the close of the Turkish transfer window this Friday.

-

UK sources say Chelsea may have no choice but to stick with Mauricio Pochettino, despite the club’s poor run of form.

This is because sacking him and bringing in a replacement, could put the Blues at risk of breaking the Premier League’s spending rules.

-

And, Red Bull F1 boss Christian Horner is being investigated by the team, following an allegation of inappropriate behaviour towards a member of staff.
