Arsenal Put Seven Past PSV

Arsenal have taken a massive step towards the Champions League quarterfinals, after a thumping 7-1 win over PSV Eindhoven in the first leg of their last-16 tie this morning.
This is the Gunners’ biggest win away from home in the competition…and also the first time they’ve scored seven goals under manager Mikel Arteta.
In other last-16 first leg results, Brahim Diaz netted a superb solo winner to help Real Madrid edge out their neighbours Atletico 2-1.
Aston Villa defeated Brugge 3-1.
While Borussia Dortmund and Lille played to a 1-1 draw.

Closer to home, JDT held Buriram United to a goalless draw in the first leg of their AFC Champions League Elite last-16 tie in Thailand.

In other developments, Liverpool are reportedly considering joining Barcelona in the race to sign AC Milan winger Rafael Leao.

PSG are said to be ready to offer as many as three of its players plus cash to sign Newcastle’s in-demand forward Alexander Isak.
