chelsea back into the top four

Chelsea had to come from behind to salvage a hard-fought 2-1 EPL win over West Ham this morning.

The Blues got their winner after Cole Palmer’s cross was deflected by Aaron Wan Bissaka into his own net.

This is only their second win in eight league matches.

It also ensures that Chelsea move back into the top four, two points ahead of Man City in fifth.

The January transfer window is now closed, with several major deals wrapped up just before the deadline this morning.

This includes Man City’s move for Porto midfielder Nico Gonzalez in a deal said to be worth around 50 million pounds.

Elsewhere, Aston Villa completed the loan signing of former Real Madrid midfielder Marco Asensio from PSG.

Tottenham snuck in a late deal for Bayern Munich forward Mathys Tel who had earlier been in talks with Man United.

While Chelsea have agreed to loan out Joao Felix to AC Milan.

Two-time Grand Slam winner Petra Kvitova has announced her return to competitive tennis, following the birth of her son.

The former world number two has been away from the game for the past 15 months.

And, Malaysia have suffered a 12-4 defeat to Germany in their opening group game at the Indoor Hockey World Cup.
