Dyche Hates The EPL Winter Break

Jan 04, 2024

dyche hates the epl winter break

Everton boss Sean Dyche wants the Premier League to scrap its winter break.

He argues that it only adds to the congested fixture schedule during the holiday season, and gives an unfair advantage to bigger clubs who have better squad depth.

There's no Premier League action this weekend, but teams will be competing in the third round of the FA Cup.

After that, EPL teams will have one of the following two weekends off.

He said this ahead of Everton's FA Cup clash at Crystal Palace, and you can catch it from 4AM LIVE on Astro channel 814.

Man City have been given a boost after Erling Haaland returned to first-team training following his foot injury.

The Norwegian star was forced to miss City's last 7 matches, including their two games at the FIFA Club World Cup.

Kevin De Bruyne also returned to training, after recovering from his serious hamstring problem.

--

Mo Salah seems to be ready to commit to his career at Liverpool, despite interest from Saudi clubs.

This, as reports say he is close to agreeing a new contract with the Reds.

His current deal runs until the summer of next year.

--

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti says there is no need for the Spanish giants to sign new players in this month's transfer window.

This is because injured players like Eduardo Camavinga will soon return to action.
