Bruno: United Must Focus On Europa League

Mar 03, 2025

bruno: united must focus on europa league

Man United's Bruno Fernandes wants his team to push aside the disappointment of this morning's FA Cup exit.

The defending champions were knocked out this morning, after losing on penalties to Fulham in the 5th round.

Fernandes says he now wants the players to fully focus on their Europa League campaign, which is their last chance to win a trophy this season.

United will face Real Sociedad in the first leg of the Europa League last-15 on Friday morning.

--

Separately, reports say that Man United are considering a move for Real Sociedad's Martin Zubimendi this summer.

The midfielder was previously linked with clubs including Liverpool and Arsenal.

--

Tottenham will not exercise the option to sign RB Liepzig's Timo Werner on a permanent deal, at the end of his current loan spell.

The German attacker has only scored one goal in 27 appearances for Spurs so far this season.

--

Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik's participation at this week's Orleans badminton Masters is in doubt.

The national men's doubles head coach says Aaron suffered a recurrence of on old wrist injury in training recently.

The Orleans Masters in France is a warm-up event ahead of the All England Championship.
