Mbappe Close To Full Fitness

Real Madrid boss Xabi Alonso is pleased with Kylian Mbappe's performance at the Club World Cup this morning.  

He says Mbappe is getting closer to returning to full fitness, after being hosptalised due to acute gastroenteritis, and Real will continue to monitor his progress.  

The attacker made his first appearance in the competition, as a substitute in this morning's 1-0 last-16 win over Juventus.  

But for now, it's not clear if Mbappe will be fit enough to start in their quarterfinal clash against Borussia Dortmund this weekend.  

This, as Dortmund completed the quarterfinal lineup after beating Mexican side Monterrey 2-1.

Dortmund's new signing Jobe Bellingham will be suspended from the quarterfinals, after he picked up a yellow card against Monterrey.  

He was previously booked in the Group Stage, and according to Club World Cup rules players who pick up a yellow card in two different matches will get an automatic one match ban. 

This means that he will NOT face his brother Jude Bellingham, who plays for Real.

This year's Wimbledon has set a new record, after 8 of the top-ten men's and women's seeds crashed out in the first round.  

It's the highest number of top-ten exits in a grand slam tournament in the Open era.  

Among the casualties were Alexander Zverev, Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula.
