Borussia Dortmund have one foot in the Champions League final…after taking a slender 1-0 advantage over PSG in the first-leg of their semifinal tie in Germany this morning.

The Bundesliga side took the lead through a Niclas Fullkrug strike in the first half before surviving a second-half fightback by the French visitors.

PSG coach Luis Enrique, however, is not too concerned about the scoreline saying he’s confident his side can overcome the deficit in next week’s return leg in Paris.

Our men’s badminton team have been drawn to face Japan in the Thomas Cup quarterfinals.

A victory for the Malaysians…will then set the stage for a semifinal clash against either hosts China or defending champions India.

-

The Red Bull F1 team have confirmed that their chief designer Adrian Newey will be leaving next year.

He is widely regarded as the best in the business and is credited with helping mastermind Red Bull’s two eras of dominance with Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen.

Newey – who also had championship-winning spells with Williams and McLaren – is now rumoured to be eyeing a move to Ferrari.

-

And, defending champion Carlos Alcaraz has crashed out of the Madrid tennis Open…after a quarterfinal defeat to Andrei Rublev.
