Liverpool Make The Europa League Last-16

Liverpool have advanced to the last-16 of the Europa League. 

Their 4-0 win over LASK this morning ensures they will finish as group winners with one game to spare. 

In other results...West Ham also booked their place in the knockout round after beating Backa Topola 1-0.  

The Hammers now need just a point in their next game against Freiburg to finish top of their group and avoid the playoffs. 

Fellow EPL side Brighton are also through to the knockout stage after their 1-0 win over AEK Athens.

In AFC Cup action, Sabah will finish as group winners after thrashing Singapore's Hougang United 4 – 1, to qualify for the knockout round.  

The Malaysian side still have one group game to go, where they will face Indonesia’s PSM Makassar.

Aston Villa will reportedly turn down any offers for Douglas Luis in the January transfer window. 

This, amidst interest from Arsenal and Manchester City.
