City are also second in the EPL standings, two points behind leaders Arsenal…and are in the last-16 of the Champions League.

In other FA Cup fifth round results, championship side Blackburn Rovers stunned Leicester 2-1,

Fulham cruised past Leeds 2-0

While Brighton edged Stoke 1-0.

In the Serie A, Roma suffered a shock 2-1 defeat to Cremonese, who picked up their first league win of the season.

Meanwhile, Paul Pogba made his return from injury, as Juventus enjoyed a 4-2 win over Torino.

Chelsea’s season seems to have gone from bad to worse, after confirming that defender Thiago Silva could be sidelined for up to six weeks with a knee injury.

And Rafa Nadal has pulled out from the Indian Wells and Miami Tennis Opens with a hip injury that is expected to rule him out for up to eight weeks.
