Cops to call up MACC officers over Teoh Beng Hock case

Police will be calling up MACC officers as part of its new probe into the death of Teoh Beng Hock.
They have already recorded statements from 5 other witnesses, including Teoh's former boss, the Seri Kembangan assemblyman Ean Yong Hian Wah,
Teoh died 10 years ago, after falling from the MACC's former Selangor HQ in Shah Alam, where he had been held overnight for questioning.
Earlier, the Attorney-General ordered for Teoh's death to be re-investigated.

The Home Ministry says while the police have the right to do so under the law, it must be done based on reasonable grounds and according SOPs.
On another matter, it adds that the govt does not spy on politicians by listening in on their private conversations.
But the police can do so, if national security is at stake.
Tawau police investigating gang rape case from all angles

Police are refusing to comment on reports, that the 7 SPM candidates who allegedly raped a 14-year-old schoolmate in Tawau, Sabah had recorded a video of the incident.
Tawau Police refused to confirm or deny receiving a copy of the video.
However, they assured that they are investigating the case from all angles.
The 7 boys are out on bail to allow them to sit for their SPM exams.
