Our economy grew 4.4% in the 3rd quarter of this year

Nov 15, 2019

Our economy grew 4.4 percent in the 3rd quarter of this year,

This is compared to 4.9 percent GDP growth in the 2nd quarter.

Bank Negara says the slight decline was due to slower growth in key sectors such as services, manufacturing and agriculture, as well as a decline in mining and construction activities.

The central bank adds, it still expects GDP growth of between 4.3 and 4.8 percent for the full year, and the pace should sustain going into 2020.
